This car belongs to Kris, a businessman who moved here not long ago from Chicago, IL. He bought this car second hand from a family member of his and had not had the time or chance to have it taken care of prior. He gave me a call and I went over to evaluate the car. After taking a good look at the car, we agreed on my Pearl Detail Package. He also took advantage of the pick-up and delivery service I offer, because of his schedule and time constraints. While inspecting the vehicle, I noticed that many panels were repainted (both front Fenders, front bumper, both quarter panels and 1 door).
As Mentioned, Kris being a very busy man was short on time and requested a pick up of his car, which was done at 6:45 in the morning. I brought the car back to the Lachine location and got to work a little bit later in the day.

Here's how the car arrived. In general, Audi's to look good even when dirty, and this one is no different. Upon closer look however, we can see that it needs some love.
As always, I start with the engine shampoo, so if any degreaser or other chemicals get on the paint, I can go back and clean them later when I'm doing paint correction. Here's how it looked at the start and at the end, sealed with Elegance Engine Dressing.
Time for the wheels. I started by using Iron-X to remove most of the brake dust caked into the wheels to make cleaning them easier. I then moved onto cleaning them with Elegance Wheel Cleaner and various brushes. I finished them off by sealing them with Wolf's Body Wrap and the tires were shined with Poorboy's World Bold N' Brite.
After the wheels, it's finally time to start washing the bodywork. First step was to remove and bugs and bird droppings. Weapon of choice: AutoGlym Active Insect Remover. Then I foamed the car with a degreasing foam and moved on to washing it. First, I went over all trims, badges and the gas cap compartment with a brush, then I washed the body work with an Elegance Wash Sponge.
Then it was time to decontaminate the paint. First up was Iron-X and following it was the clay bar with Elegance Clay Lubricant.
Once decontaminated, I washed the vehicle again. Now, let's take a closer look at the damages now that the car is clean. Stains/streaks on the driver side fender, heavy swirling and some heavy scratches on the passenger side quarter panel.
Once the paint was measured, I marked off areas that needed more attention, taped it off and brought it inside. I began the work by doing a test spot. I used the trunk split right down the middle to find the exact polishing process I would use.
I then got to work on polishing the whole car. Here are images of a panel before and after a single compounding pass. After 13 hours of polishing, I removed all the tape.
Here, you can see some pictures of the car outside after having been polished. Still unwashed and with no protection yet.
Once it was washed and an inspection was carried out, it was brought back inside to receive its layer of protection. I chose to use the BlackFire combo of Gloss Enhancing Polish and Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Sealant. I also applied Aquapel to the windshield and shampooed the carpets.
Here are shots of those scratches corrected to the best possible state as well as the finished interior of the car which received an AutoGlym leather treatment and 303 Aerospace Protection on all trims and vinyl.
Finally, here are the long awaited final shots of the finished result, after 20 hours of work. Enjoy.
